BARCS- Baltimore City Animal Rescue and Care Shelter. BARCS is the city shelter for unwanted and lost dogs and cats. They make every attempt to place animals before having to consider euthanasia. They work tirelessly with local rescues to save as many wonderful cats and dogs as possible and adopt animals to deserving families 7 days a week. To adopt from BARCS, you need to be of age and have a state issued ID. You also need to take their new pet owner class, which is offered each day. If the dog or cat has already been spayed or neutered, you can take home your new pal the same day!

Pikesville Animal Hospital is a full service state-of-theart veterinary hospital in the heart of Pikesville, just inside the beltway. From physical examinations and vaccines to complicated medical problems requiring ultrasound, endoscopy, or surgery, the experienced staff prides itself onproviding professional attentive care and personal service to their clients.
