BARCS- Baltimore City Animal Rescue and Care Shelter. BARCS is the city shelter for unwanted and lost dogs and cats. They make every attempt to place animals before having to consider euthanasia. They work tirelessly with local rescues to save as many wonderful cats and dogs as possible and adopt animals to deserving families 7 days a week. To adopt from BARCS, you need to be of age and have a state issued ID. You also need to take their new pet owner class, which is offered each day. If the dog or cat has already been spayed or neutered, you can take home your new pal the same day!

Jon Collins is a local dog trainer who works with all types of dogs to correct unwanted behaviors. While Jon does not teach basic obedience, he can help your problem pet become a happier pet. Jon's philosophy is based on praising your dog and often uses the e-collar system. Jon also trains police and therapy dogs. Jon evaluates many of our PRoM dogs and helps us find their perfect family.
