 In Memory of Pet Rescue of Maryland and the Shamer family have established the Lisa Shamer Perpetual Memorial Fund. The Shamer family have done so to honor and sustain their daughter's love of dogs. Lisa spent much of her life with her own dogs, working and caring for other's dogs, and helping to care for a variety of rescue dogs. In the way that only a dog can, Lisa's dog Lincoln brought her comfort and unconditional love all the way through to the end of her short life. Even after her passing, her love of dogs continues through the Lisa Shamer Perpetual Memorial Fund, providing funds to rescue and care for animals in need.
